Nine months after the formation of ACVC an Evensong and Inaugural Concert were held:
WELLS CATHEDRAL 26 April 1997 Inaugural Evensong & Concert
It was agreed at the start that national festival weekends should be held every eighteen months, each one being hosted by a different Cathedral. Festival weekends have since comprised Saturday Evensong and Sunday Eucharist.
